Where Zoho CRM Wins

  • Sales-focused depth: Territory management, advanced workflow rules, Blueprint process enforcement, scoring rules, assignment rules - Zoho's sales automation is deeper out of the box.
  • Customization without code: Canvas (visual CRM designer), custom modules, custom functions, and Zoho Creator for building entirely new applications.
  • Complete business suite: 50+ native apps covering every business function. HubSpot covers marketing, sales, service, and CMS - that's it. For everything else, you need third-party tools.
  • Inventory management: Built into Zoho CRM Professional and above. HubSpot has no native inventory management.
  • Multi-currency and tax handling: Critical for European businesses trading across borders. Zoho handles this natively. HubSpot's multi-currency support is more limited.

The Contact-Based Pricing Problem

This is HubSpot's most controversial pricing model - and the one that catches growing businesses off guard.

HubSpot's Marketing Hub charges based on the number of marketing contacts in your database. Professional starts with 2,000 contacts. Need more?

Zoho's approach: Zoho Campaigns (email marketing) charges by emails sent, not contacts stored. Zoho Marketing Automation has contact tiers too, but they're included in Zoho One at no extra cost. You don't get penalised for growing your database.

  • E-invoicing: European e-invoicing requirements (Peppol, FatturaPA, Factur-X) are better served by Zoho Books + CRM integration
